Blogging Weather….

cvr_1335993358

I don’t know where the last week has gone, but I do know I haven’t stopped.  We have taken delivery of Toby’s new vehicle – photos to be posted here in the near future.

The good news is that is fantastic and it is perfect – exactly what he wanted and specifications spot on.  With one glaring oversight… Thank you Mr Griffiths, friend of the family, for pointing this one out…

Big sign on back of vehicle saying leave 8ft or 3 metres space when parking.  Except 8ft isn’t three metres…!!  It could be worse – the number plate could have been wrong !!

The rest of my moaning about the practical pitfalls in my life can be read over at www.dyeverse.org in the meantime I will reflect about my crafty world.

I have found a lovely set up in Cullompton of knitters, crafters and beaders and spent an hour on Monday evening in their company, after my lovely afternoon with the Uffculme Knitters.

Went home on Tuesday afternoon to find an amazing parcel from Picperfic and some lovely beads which I am going to blog about when I start working on some fancy spinning which will incorporate them.

I hope Carolyn doesn’t mind me using her photo here – as mine don’t do them justice..il_570xN_330931888

I went on a Art Yarn spinning course last year, and I am going to practice some of the techniques with these very special beads which are just delicate enough to do the trick and not be too heavy to throw the bobbins off balance. They are also very much stronger than they look.

In the meantime, I don’t think there is much spinning going to go on in my world, as I have damaged my back – hopefully with a bit of rest it will recover – all my own fault.

So I am sitting on my Tuffet thinking about “The Boat that Guy Built” and ‘nittin whilst watching the rain…incredibly cathartic…

When I have finished blogging that is… !!!

hugs everyone…
