Thank you all so much for the lovely emails and comments of support that you have sent through to me.
For those who are not aware of what has been happening, we have had a Hearing in the High Court before the Court of Appeal in Toby’s case.
Toby was knocked of his cycle on his way home on the 28th November, when he was 16 by a young driver (17), who had only recently passed his test and was out for the first time in his mother’s automatic car - having only had a very small amount of practice in an automatic car – having customarily driven one with a manual gear box.
These are the only facts we know for certain.
It would not be right for me to comment about what has taken place during that Hearing, but I can confirm that it was incredibly harrowing, especially as it fell on the 6th Anniversary of the Accident.
I can also confirm that the outcome of the Defendant’s appeal won’t be known for a while. It is an incredibly complicated case and the many factors which arose during the Hearing are going to take some time to be sifted through – which is only right and proper.
But in the meantime, the awful wait continues and life seems to have come to a standstill.
We do though have Toby with us – despite his horrific injuries and we comfort ourselves with that amazing miracle.
I would just like to thank you all though – as it is your prayers and support which have kept both me and our family going – thank you – appreciated.
On the up side, Holly was stood next to Charlotte Church whilst we waited to go in – not all bad eh? !!
